it seems that many people deem a tube amp acquisition an 'upgrade'...

besides the ValBee, Fender's Champion & Epi's Valve Jr are worthy considerations as well.

yeah i definitely will... i plan to buy 1 or 2 tubes first, then go get my valbee then slowly experiment. i dun suppose its too troublesome changing tubes back and forth?

hi.. tube amp 5 watter like valbee/champ actually dont need rebias due to chathode bias config. it self bias, as long as u put the same kinda tubes..different brand doesnt matter..

^ Ahh can someone confirm that?? I've got a tung-sol 6L6GC power tube waiting to be swapped in into my valbee! I've popped in a tung-sol 12ax7 already and the sound has improved quite abit IMO!

This is confusing, some people say need to bias, some say don't need...

only those who've done it can confirm, hope they come forth to offer some insights. if you're unsure, don't swap your power tube because if it really does require re-biasing then it'd translate to service charges (to re-bias your amp) on your part.

iam really sure this valbee chatode bias due to 5watt output for 6l6gc
quiet simmilar to fender champ, this type of amp which i already build 4 units,(from scratch) including tube hifi(similar power tubes,lower input gain,12au7) .
iam building tubes amp based on useful sites like ax84,
18watt.com...etc..
