Ibanez Jem Jr Custom Version(Only Piece in the World!)

Bridge Cavity -> Routed to enable up wham(yes the old version actually didn't allow that!)

This can't be correct. I've played Jem Jrs with the old LT1 trem and they are already able to pull up.

Just wanted to let you know.

The rosewood probably isn't rotting, but its most likely graining. They probably just used crappy wood that looked good on one side.

No kidding cow bro.. yes you can up wham.. how much? it doesn't allow much of up wham as there is a piece of additional block underneath unlike the new design. Do take a closer look.. and this is when we are talking abt the bridge set to a low height and not high height..

That's my point... it can pull up already in the first place, where you first mentioned it "actually didn't allow that".

While I'm not interested in whether the trem can wham up or not, I think its a great inlay job for a first time effort. Gr3y was kind in saying we helped him out, however, all we did was give him some advice.

Keep up the good work Gr3y, it's heartwarming to see more and more Singaporeans take the plunge into DIY. Maybe few years down the road, a real DIY section in SOFT would be feasible. At this stage though, we should also reserve a section called "I wanna prove you're wrong, and I'm right". As of now, its a forum disease which is spreading rapidly.

Most experienced players wouldn't bother too. However in SOFT, the majority of players are younger players who, due to inexperience, swallow almost everything reported here wholesale.

I don't understand what's with the retaliatory reaction though KayCee. The forum disease you pointed out seems to be more of one-off incidents merely misinterpreted on the part of the reader - certain readers. Don't tell me pointing out minor discrepancies in data for the relative good of the community = a disease. SOFT might as well be a trashy tabloid then.

IMHO thats a wonderful job. the effort taken is amazing Gr3y. Do consider doing it for select customers who really are serious about customizing their guitars. This is a new breed of DIYers and you're leading the way for sure !

As for the constructive/non -constructive comments, take it in your stride. In the end you're doing something different while everyone else is doing the same thing - Using their mouths/fingers =)

Cheers!

while many of us are keen to embark on the DIY engagement, we are kinda put off with having to tool up...

i totally agree with you bigrockshow. just reminds me of someone who is always posting non constructive comments and using their mouths and fingers :D

good work gr3y, please make another pick guard for me when i have the money :D

eee.. i dun like e gold hardware!! i prefer it chrome! Besides, the original evo was with chrome stuff isnt it? hehe

hey guys, i took e effort to build and share only man.. There are of course alot of people that will come to type a few sh*t and kill you off but i care less about these so chill people :D

Normally i would go "ah fu*k it la.." but if they irritate me then i'll go "ah..FU*K YOU LAH"

those who know me personally will know this best! haha!

good stuff. did you score A* for design and technology back in sec sch? i flunked that subject totally man, just not a DIY inclined person. good job!

on another note i think having a cheap guitar and putting your personal touches to it makes it very very hard to part with no matter how cheapo it started out!

i didnt score A, infact i remember i did quite badly... :( my ibanez isn't cheap to me.. sweelee was selling 900 something and i remember after 20% is 700 something.. which to many is cheap, but not to me at that point of time.. i remember having to save like mad!

Gr3y

Goes to show you don't need school for all the good shit, hahaha.

You should look at some of the wood work on Warrior guitars and Jerzy Droid Basses, you might get inspiration fro more stuff as well.

Cheers Bro.
