Hi guys, I would like to know where can I find JEM copies ?
Any brand will do, just want the design to look the same, that's all.
I want to check them out during this weekend.
Thanks alot guys.

I damn budget one ~
No moolah to afford originals.

those on jemsite.com definitely aren't budget though. they're mostly custom shops that do swirls and JEM bodies. probably cost the same if not more than a standard Ibanez.

Agreed !
That's why I'm looking for the cheap ones that are available (hopefully) in Singapore. It's good enough for me. I'm not Steve Vai, dont need Ibanez.

TGM has a Jem copy that's if you want a real low budget one..

Ohh, where can I find it then ?

I'm definitely going down to whatever place u guys are going to tell me this weekend.

Thanks !

* looking for a white one btw. White Only. I love White.

hmm. If u want the TGM one, might as well get a jem junior.. the TGM one is 350 (i think plywood body with sucky floyd rose copy bridge) and the junior is i think about 450 in guitar connection (if i am not wrg, i may be wrg) and has at least wizard 2 neck, edge III bridge and basswood body and bragging rights to say it is at least a real Ibanez (and who knows, one day u might decide to add in Evolutions).

+1 on the JEM jr. whether it's a real ibanez or not, it's just over a hundred more than the TGM, and imo much better value in terms of parts and sound. you might not be steve vai but you'd still want a guitar that sounds good right :D

A JEM Jr brand new at 450? I dun think the price is right. It does not cost that low. Swee Lee selling it at 720.

haha i got it for 450 2 years ago at the swee lee sale.

Its basically an ibanez rg with a monkey grip.....

I rather you get a JEM555 or JEM Jr or something. Like what someone above says, basically RG body with monkey grip. Only the wood is different.

If your looking 2nd hand, make sure you get the one with Edge III, NOT ILT-1, or the one which has its ILT-1 replaced by something much better... e.g. Gotoh Floyd Rose.

i had the one with the 1LT1. worthless piece of crap its like one dive and its outta tune.

Sold it off and got the s470 with the ZR trem, best trem i've ever played. plus its so much easier when restringing and not such a bitch to change tunings compared to normal floyds. Slightly stiffer in feel and less flutter, but in terms of reliability, the ZR cant be beat....

imho even if you're not steve vai, i wouldn't waste time on the copies. The bridges will frustrate you..unstable tunings and not to mention horrible sounds.

would be better off with a ibanez rg or something..at least you can just concentrate on making music or playing without fighting the instrument

and that lion claw rooted cavity (something) for higher range of tremolo. lol.

Actually, Jemsite has noted that the current use of the lion's claw route is now purely cosmetic.

Here:
Lions Claw - this is the scooped out tremolo cavity and was named such for it's apperance that looks like a lion's claw carved out the cavity edge. It is the six scooped ridges on the front of the body by the fine tuners of the tremolo. This is cosmetic in nature as the standard routing allows its tremolo to be raised as well as lowered. It does not improve pull-up or tremolo usage on Ibanez guitars. Vai did this originally on his non-floating trem "green meanie" to allow for pullup... the cosmetic feature was added to all JEMs but the functional feature was added to all Ibanez double-locking trem guitars made after 1987. The Lions Claw is featured on all JEMs but is not found on Universe guitars.
