I dun know what guitar should i get wit $600

I've been playin guitar for about a year now...
I play more towards metal songs.
I'm given 600 dollars
I need to get aboth an amp and a electric guitar.
I'm really not sure what guitar to get...
i'm thinkin of gettin an ibanez GRG170dx?
It cost 400 bucks....dun know if its worth
i aint really sure if it's gd also...
if there is other models u think i should get pls let me know...
Really unsure of what guitar brands or model i should get..
Stressed out..

I think you should save more then u get a Schecter. Or get a BC-Rich..Suit ur music.. Anw, i dunno abt Ibanez..I just hate that brand..Eventhough it's awesome.. LOL

Metal? I'm not sure whether this help but my California Series Squier Strat can play metal. Yet again, I'm not a metal head so I'm not sure.

My best advice is to pick up a Squier Strat with a humbuckler. It's relatively easy on the wallet, and with the right settings it can play quite a few genres and tones. One should only cost about $280 to $300, depending on where you get it.

Ibanez is usually the brand associated to metal but I don't quite like it myself. Its a tad bit more pricey than similiar guitars of the same range

Yup...He is right...But my opinion is you get a BC-Rich then you changed the pick ups...Maybe Seymour Duncan?

i'd set 200 for an amp, probably a roland cube
100 for a distortion pedal, maybe a second hand mt-2
and 300 bucks for a guitar

OR

150 for an ibanez TBX (best amp for metal for that price)
and the rest on a guitar

if you dont intend to get pedals, i strongly recommend the ibanez TBX if you're gonna play mainly metal

Get a guitar equipped with a humbucker at the bridge. Try as many guitars that attracts you and see which is to your liking. I use an Ibanez because I really like the neck.

nothing beats stuff standard value carry, the cheapest rally guitar there owns my heavily modded epiphone and the stock pickups blew me away, and rest assured, it stood through the test of SEPULTURA running through Mike's sound drive 100 watter.

get the 300 bucks black rally strat copy and the sound drive sg15, 400 bucks and you got great sounding stuff.

Don't get a MT-2 at any price. It's rubbish. A really awesome amp is what you really need. Spend $400 on it and the rest on your axe!( And any guitar with humbuckers will do. )
