maybe you tremolo users can shed a little light into this.

i have a rocktron pulse tremolo. i always hear a huge volume boost when i turn my distortion and tremolo on together. the pedal, unfortunately, doesnt have a volume knob :? with the tremolo on alone, the volume boost is not so significant, hence, it doesnt affect my that much.

do other tremolo pedals also have this 'problem'?

Umm, well I can answer your last question, I have a line 6 PodXT Live, and whenever I on my tremolo at a certain stage, especially with distortion. I almost blew myself away. So I guess yeah other pedals have this problem too

thanks alot marksman!! :D

my chain was dist -> tremolo before. i switched it around. no more super duper volume boost! yay!

some guitar player use tremolo to clean boost..
many tremolo is very good for clean boost..
I used Demeter Tremulator, Cusack Tap-A-Whirl and more..
(Now I`m using Line6 MM-4)
Some analog pedals feel like that..
But not spoilled...

Did the manual mention anything about internal volume adjustments?

I have no idea abt the rocktron but some tremolo pedals have a trim pot inside to adjust the volume.

Trem after or before drive is a BIG difference.

nope, the manual didnt mention about any internal trimpots. i notice that the tremolo effect is more subtle if put before the drives, but i can live with that. beats having a fixed >18db boost anytime!

my tremolo effect in my me 30 actually decreases overall volume a tad bit... strange...even after all the fine tuning of the parameters
