i said "need". maybe the ppl dat u helped WANTED u to set up for them cuz they are lazy or dun wanna waste time.

u dun need professional help unless ur a dumbass. Comon its a simple concept. Neck bow forward cuz of tension in the strings. Tighten trussrod in that case. Higher guage on same tuning will mean higher tension. AFter u adjust the trussrod, do wad i said in my previous post. Den make sure everything is tight, nut, saddle blah blah. make sure u stretch ur strings oso. If your guitar still goes out of tune den its cuz ur guitar sucks, im serious.

I actually suggest that he goes and gets professional help first, WATCH, then learn, better not screw around and do something stupid.

edit: which he seems perfectly capable of.

if he does that he'd be a dumbass.

Sorry to interrupt..but my suggestion is,why don't u just lock the trem?make it as a fixed bridge...then put urself wutever gauge u want to..more sustain..i oso beginner when i'm using trem guitar,n oso had this xperience..and finally i lock this trem..now i don't have a prob to detune or wutever (bside now i dont use the trem)..btw its ur guitar..u can do wutever u wanted to..as long it give u the satisfaction when u playing it..the moral here is.. D.I.Y man.. :D

ok fine, u dun NEED professional help, unless ur intelligence level is so low that you CANNOT understand how to do it, physically handicapped in such a way that u CANNOT set up the guitar urself. how bout that, spot any loopholes now? this can go on forever u know...

One question, did your JEM jr come from bazaarofchina?

Fixed-bridge still rules... Ibanez is making more and more fixed-bridge models anyway. There must be a reason why there's a demand for them...

ya, shred is dead. emo kids don't need whammy bars. it's too advanced a concept. why waste valuable time setting up a floating trem when they could be slitting their wrists or downing vast quantities of Xanax and Valium?

aeigrox..don't care bout where ur guitar came from..the important thing is,u should learn how to set up ur guitar,if u feel great when u playing it,then the guitar is rite 4 u,if not set it up again..try and error..;)
