i must elaborate. my maple fretboard, its discoloured. this greenish stains. most prob coz of my fingers. and there's no way they can go off. maybe sandpaper is e solution?

yes!! sandpaper the fretboard!! till its nice and smooth .... works everytime ... :lol:

instead of sandpaper try steel wool, very fine; the finest is "0000" (4 zeros) grade. That should remove any stains. You can also use it to shine the finish.
