ok,i've been searching online for help...but i just dun seem to find any good ones..

i'm refering to those harmonics like the solo (1st) in MOP...and alot of those scandinavian solos...

does anyone know how to make harmonic solos and stuff? or know where i can find material regarding this? i'm really interested in knowing how to do it

i know pinch harmonic...

whats a false harmonic? oh yar...and i mean by harmonised solos...u know Master of Puppets...those kinda stuff..i cnt remember other solos that have harmonising...

sit down.. lock yourself in the room with about a week of supplies.
and just play and play and play.

youll get the harmonic solo you want.

trust me.

Hmm.

Wah lau, I read your thread title and thought you had issues playing harmonics, yet your question should be "how should I compose / play along with a harmony solo?"

I would suggest you take a listen to more bands which utilise harmony solos, especially Thin Lizzy (proud new owner of Thin Lizzy's classic Live album "Live And Dangerous" :) )

Also have a listen to some Pink Floyd... Their album "Animals" has some parts in which guitarist David Gilmour uses overdubbing to harmonise with himself.

from what i know, there isn't anything called a false harmonic... its really just a harmonic.... As to the subject, all u need is good feel of the board thats all...

sorry sorry!!! i just refered to the wrong thing...it is HARMONISING SOLOS...how do i do it? is there a certain theory that follows it? like play an octave higher or something?

CHEAH... there was a topic like this somewhere... hmm, go search and can find, but some there are just a few rules here and there, like no harmonising in seconds or 4ths or 7ths.... yeah, people mostly harmonise in 3rds and 5ths sometimes 6ths
