How to : Connect a Pedal ?

i was wondering , How do i connect a pedal to an amp? like do i just need to buy a pedal and theres a wire included in it for me to connect to the amp?

There's an output and input jack. You need wires to connect to the amp. Companies don't include wires........

plug a cable into ur guitar, then plug that cable into the INPUT of the pedal. then take another cable, plug in into the OUTPUT of the pedal, then plug in into ur amp.

if u have more than one pedal, u'll need patch cables to connect them all.

cable used in geetar/amp/pedals are known as instrument cable. It is known as unbalanced cable as well. This cable is connected to a 1/4 inch mono phone jack, with one black ring. One cable will have 2 1/4 inch phone jack at each end.

Cable for geetar to amp and cable used in between pedals to pedals is the same thing.
Except one is longer and the other is shorter. The shorter cable to connect pedals to pedals are commonly known as patch cable.

to connect geetar/pedals/amp. Its just a matter of connecting cable from your guitar output jack to the pedal input jack and from the pedal output jack, you connect another cable to the amp input jack

you stick your left pinky finger in the output of the pedal and stick your right pinky into the input of the amp.

hahaha that was what i asked the old guy at davis when i bought my first pedal the ultra metal last time. he gave me the "you're so noob!" face. :mrgreen:
