Haiya pple, I was wondering if is possible to change a 22fret stratocaster to a 24fret one? Just change the neck? But that way, the whole fretboard will get messed up im i right? and notes will be different...

yeah .. i guess it's most appropriate to sell the 22 fretter and buy a 24 fretter ... cos i think the neck itself wud cost u about S$300 ??? an mid range 24 fret guit most probably cost ard 400++ (schter, Cort, Washburn etc)
but if u really insist ... then u'll have to take up some good advise (like from Shredcow to rehouse your neck pups) or when changing of neck, have to measure and take extra note of the bolt-on holes to the neck for alinement ... else after u tighten all the screws and string up your guitar ... u'll find that the neck is tilted ...
if u have some spare guitars have some experimental ventures on it ...

hey this may sound weird ...many years ago ..i had a fren that cut 2 fret fingerboard and pasted on the body of the guitar to get that 24 frets
im not sure hows the tone and all...i`ll just find that guy think outside the box ..haha..
but to reach the 24th fret..u do need to stretch..unless u wanna mod further.
if u wanna get a new neck make sure thats its the same 25.5 scale..cos some neck are smaller abit like 24.75...else intonation is gonna be a problem..
