How much is Seymour Duncan Hotrails?

yes true , agreed . when i think metal , the ibanez, esps and all come to mind . but with an 8k price tag , its a fancy metal guitar isnt it hahaha . to the softies who commented about gibsons being known for rock , blues and all , that is true but personally i find that it is the most versitile guitar around , its almost like a swiss army knife of guitars , just tweak it here and there and boom . same with fenders but i think they lack that punch factor for me and i really like the original sound of the single coils , so i wont change them to super singles and all cause the original strat tone is what i go for , what sound i make , depends on the pedals

Yeah strats for black metal pwns!

indeed. Marduk's Morgan Harkensen knows that...

can i use hotrails to fit in my single pickup strat by squier?sorry if im being lame but i really would like to know.the cost and stuff...

Sry to highjack, but any coolrails + Strat combination users care to elaborate their experiences with it and if it is suitable for metal?

coolrails are non-high output pickups, if you possess a good drive/ distortion, it''ll deliver metal, no probs. however, the Hot Rails are preferred. nevertheless, Coolrails neck + Hotrails bridge makes a versatile combo 8-)

Here's some recomendation for Strat style guitar pickup with High Output Hard Rock to Metal Style and with a switch mod u can go for single classic sound.
For Seymour Fans
Hot Rails™ for Strat SHR-1
JB Jr.™ SJBJ-1
Li'l Screamin' Demon SLSD-1
Little '59™ for Strat SL59-1
Livewire Hot for Strat LW-HS(Active pickup)

For Dimarzio Fans
Fast Track 2 DP182
Super Distortion S DP218
Tone Zone S DP189
(Tiny Less Hotter than rest above)
Air Norton S DP180
Pro Track DP188

Depend on your style if u like some classic tone into it, go for Seymour JB Jr or Little 59's and if you really like to go up and way beyond try Dimarzio Super Dist or Tone Zone.

most metal guitarists don like gibsons for their fat chunky necks. If you'r in tune with the trends from the 80s, most of them(metal dudes) prefer charvel/jackson type superstrats with thin bodies and humbuckers. Voila! instant thick sound with shred-friendly action!
