How high/low do you play your guitar?

Just above my stomach. The "mid" area of the guitar body lying on top of my stomach. Eh dont have to look cool la.

I rather play correctly rather than make mistakes even if the guitar is low.

music has got nothing really much to do with looks. id rather look bad n sound good than vice versa. n high is cool too. esp if got a nice guitar. ahahaha..

I think your hand size plays a part too..some people have long fingers and big hands like kerry king and james heithfield.They put it low but still they do some solo.

I feel its about how your gripping is.How you grip and play.I wear mine on my stomach also.

But one thing.. Looking cool while delivering killer music is part of getting the crowd headbanging, no? Especially when the musicians on stage are enjoying themselves. Rather than wearing it high, standing around, and just having people going like "Wah. Pro." and that's it. To me Petrucci is skilled but I don't really enjoy watching him play..

Anyways.. No matter how all of you wear your guitars, how do you set the height? Trial and error, or do you use some point of reference?

use trial and error put at a hieght u like then try not comfortable then slowly find ure correct height i play mine at around the waist level i guess not too low not too high.. and only fenders look kool if u play it high i dunno y. and u cant play a bcrich type model high lol ud be stuck inbetween the body.

for me i always look for a height where i can palm-mute easily and comfortably... sounds noobish but hey it works for me... rite now its at waist level.. but mite have to change after goin thru NS... :lol:

dono why i have broad shoulders or my upper body is long.. the standard length of straps i pull till finish till my stoamche nia... so i go for those straps longer one... i normalli put at around waist level.. almost crotch lah.. but den for some songs simple simple one.. pull lower loh.. put up all the time feel hot seh

if i play using my SG, its around my waist area, and when using an explorer, around my crotch area. Playing explorer so high looks weird man

I'm playing slightly above waist now but still uncomfortable.. I'm using those straps that you have to... assemble to the right height. Not the normal ones that can be adjusted by pulling the plastic
