How do u find the metalcore scene in Singapore?

Hey guys, I created this thread to see your opinions on the metalcore scene in SG.

Cause personally I feel our national bands are not getting enough support. =S. The audience in Singapore can be quite dead and they don't really mosh and stuff during local gigs... save for a few hxc scenesters tho.

although i know minimal about the metalcore scene in Singapore, i feel that moshing is not really a must during such gigs. true enough that it is part of the whole experience, but there are always some who pay to see how the band performs on stage, and not struggle to even stand still, turning 360 degrees..

if you say they are dead, it's because they don't feel the music, or they are just being typical Singaporeans. i'm one of those. i pay to watch the band perform, not mosh around and not getting a view of the band.

dun have to mosh or wateva mah...

nong nong time back i attend a few gigs, ppl mosh dance slam surf in wateva band there is on stage. during the old substation days etc. be it punk,hardcore,metal,oi or wateva... got the 'unity'...
but there are still those who came to just sit and watch,which is ok wat. supporting too..

for now... i dare say its quite dead coz... its frds supporting frds. its like, "hey,tis band sux coz they play _____ (add genre),lets wait for our frds"

and ya... u dun have to only mosh wif metalcore music (which i oso dunno wat la)

Go concert is to enjoy the music and not to mosh IMO. but then, without the moshing metal gigs would be dead. i definitely go for the music and not to mosh..

Bands that I used to listen to so much a year or two back (God Forbid, Shadows Fall, KsE, Chimaira, Trivium, Unearth and so on) I barely listen to now.

I don't know if it is just me or does anyone else feel the same way?

i used to listen to such bands in the last few years.. then i discovered other genres that have much more to offer.. actually i don't listen to metal as a whole as often anymore, i don't know why.. perhaps it's a phase.. although i still listen to Gojira, Light This City from time to time..

why they have not many hXc dancing,moshing etc.
it is because of the stage presence of the band
they play metalcore but yet than have no movement
stand there like a robot.
if they move im sure we will all move our body and in the same time enjoy the song.
that is what i see because i've seen and have gone to alot of metalcore gig.
but some band still have stage presence when the song have alot of breakdown which theres a few only in the scene
