Hi, i want to record my playing on my computer. I have got a Korg AX 3000g and was wondering can i connect it to my comp via MIDI cable then record it through audacity? Or something else?

What is your computer setup? Does it have a soundcard with LINE IN?

If there is, you can connect the OUTPUT from your Korg AX 3000g (1/4 inch ) to the LINE IN (Mini Stereo) of your soundcard.

Just need to get the right cable. Something like ->

1/8" Stereo Male-Dual 1/4" TS Male

Yep, i have a line in on my comp. Would it sound soft? I tried plugging my guitar into the line in with a 1/4" to 1/8" adaptor directly as my effects currently undergoing repair. It sounds really soft.

i know for the ax3000g, theres a digital spdif output. that would work too if u have that input in ur soundcard. i used that for awhile... so far it gives the best quality compared to a line-in conection.
