HOT TOPIC: SHOULD U BE PAID!?

IMO, bands should AT LEAST know what they are doing. I've played in gigs where I was'nt paid, the band screwed up and i had to take a cab home(cos got no bus). That was one of the gigs I regretted playing the most.

But talking about passion, love of music and dignity, I think every band should at least get paid for what they do, based on their performance. Many people are afraid that 'oh they play for money only' , but if a monetery band plays well, don't they deserve to get paid? And if they don't , then they won't even deserve to be onstage in the first place.

I think this kind of topic is really a personal question. 'Do I want to get paid for my talents?' Remember, we all have families to feed. Pride does not fill your tummy.

Put it this way, go out and ask for services like computer repairs, event organising, telemarketing etc all over the world, and you have to pay for their services.

thats wat i think too.. ur pc spoil u call the person down even if he cant fix also will charge u abit.. he spend money getting all his computor knowledge.. so do we spending money or time learning our music lesson.. the main point is.. ppl provide service for u.. no matter gd or bad, at least some token of appreciation.. and the prob is how much.. like most ppl say.. at least transport fee is gd..
