I don't know about you guys but one thing that puts me off ehx is the size of those darn pedals. Even their small clone or stone aren't really that small for a pedal that has only one knob. :P Check these out.

And finally.........a little something for the ehx hardcores...

Can't wait for the arrival of the nano series. Must get the nano clone and maybe the muff overdrive! ANd maybe the little clone theory which is so much smaller than the vinty one. The nano metal muff seems interesting too but it may lose to its bigger brother in terms of tweakability.

very cool move, EH.

hey to those who bought the EH metal Muff.... how did it go? is it what you were looking for? mini review please...

most of EH stuff been true bypassed for the last 3 years at least. Most likely the mini stuff shud be also..

aint the echolution under pigtronix??

Those small efx look so... they changed the controls and stuff... why?! I mean, people have been throwing big muff clones into the same small enclosures, and they have 3 knobs, but the nano muff has only 1 knob?

from the look of the one knob, i wud think most of the mini series is not the same as the original counter part. The lack of the tone controls seem to me that its mostly really simplifed version and some ranges of sound might be missing.

Like the metal muff mini, i cant imagine it to have only gain and volume. Considering the original one need some tweaking to prevent me from thinking metalzone is on par with it

Some of the pedales will be released in August...

I'll be bringing a bunch of it in JUST SO YOU KNOW.

Break a leg guys...

They're definitely simplified. It seems that the depth switch is also missing in the small clone but the clone theory is really intriguing, considering it has been discontinued.

Is the Metal Muff really that bad? Buzzsaw-like isit? Just a little question, is the top boost a clean boost i.e. only volume. Or does it bolster the gain like an ovedrive pedal driving an amp?

Edder! Pm you have. :D

hehe, not that its bad. But the metal muff need a bigger amp. If not gonna sound tiny and thin. The gain is over the top saturated if push too much.

The top boost pushes the gain. Too much of it will intro a irritating "clingy" sound to the tone..Perhaps if you into merzbow or similar, the metale muff be a great one to cause terror

Why you need a metal muff when you got the mm-x ah? Mr Kank?

Er.. Maybe I've got something for black pedals? Maybe I'm gonna start collecting all the metal pedals in the world and cascade them all for some metal mayhem?  Just curious how it sounds cos the soundfiles on the ehx site isn't really helpful.. go listen.. like what's with letting us sample the metal muff without any palm-muting and whole lot of chugga chugga? :P And dinosaur jr? Sheesh..

errr, Mr j mascis happen to be rocking my bollocks much more than any guitarist that do palm muting on any distortion pedal or start shreading away doing the dee dee del doooooooweeeeeeedeeeeee dooo on clips..

 No lah.. I dun mean no respect to Mr dinosaur jr. I mean I digged him when I was in secondary school :D but metal muff is for the metal audience right? So ehx should at least have some metal playing to show its potential. It's not cutting it for me.

Maybe.. at least something like these?
