Dang I disassembled mine!

I had two drive pedals mounted on a metal grille and tied down with metal wire. But then, decided that I needed a wider range of tones, and some basic effects, and made the switch to multi-effects. Will post it if I decide to rebuild it again.

Now hanging on my wall as a decorative piece..

All retired.. Using a PT mini now..

Many years ago I built this from a guitar case. Cut and shortened so the handle is in the middle. Covered the insides with velcro.

But later on I got sick of patch cables and just built this instead.

Whoa wicked job man. So the whole pedals are underneath? Or you gutted them and wired the insides?

Gutted everything man! Star grounded all the effects and shielded the whole thing. Quieter and more reliable than ever.

That would rock. Let me know if you need any help heh. There are a few threads on diystompboxes.com with different designs too.

Here's the general grounding and wiring method I used:

I don't have problems with the 1spot so I just used that to power everything. Some of the other guys built theirs with power supplies in them.

I'd rather keep the power supply outside of the enclosure, just play it safe. AC signals could cause some EMI in the stomp box circuitry. I would run the 9V female plugs to the rear of the board.

Mine would be rather more complex since I would be running my effects in the loops of my amp, in addition to the normal input. Hmmm, integrating a Line 6 Wireless Relay System into the thing would be nice idea as well. Too many possibilites, not enough time and money...

Nice work.

I've always wanted to build my very own PT-inspired pedalboard. But the issue I think I will face is finding a bag/case that is big enough or suitable to fit the pedalboard.

How do you guys carry around your homemade pedalboards?

You can try getting suitable sized keyboard bags. I used an 88 key one for a while, but it was a little oversized. Eventually I got one custom made by a nice couple in the US. Here's their site: http://www.studioslips.com/products.php
I ordered the Briefcase Style Gig Bag with standard padding and added pocket, with measurements perfectly fitting my pedalboard.

Pricing was as follows (in USD):
Briefcase Style Gig Bag™ 1 $95.00
Pocket: Front only (+$15.00)
Shipping and Handling: $31.70
Product Total: $141.70

If blueark builds mahjong tables with cup warmers he can make a ton of cash.
Padded mahjong tables with cupholders! Haha. Actually after how nice that table turned up, i'm pretty gian to build another one.

junkieman could you tell me where you got your parts? is there a smaller version? it'll be great if you could tell me the rough price of everything, thanks!
