Hiss from amp

Roland Cubes has only 2 wires instead of a 2 wire like other amps. At least my intrstuction manual says so.

That's weird. The power cable for amps should be universal and should contain a 3rd Earth wire within the cable itself. If there's only 2 wires inside the cable I really do wonder why Roland goes to such an extent to make things difficult for themselves.

YES! Thanks! you guys answered my question too! my randalled is still 2pin and the hisses all shit.

ok, so ground will settle it?

The hiss from lack of grounding will be gone but other noise artifacts may still be present depending on your pickups, gain and amp inherent noise.

different environment got different electro magnetic nuclear radioactive etc interference lah... maybe that guy if playing in a room full of fluorescent tubes or sth

anyway these are symptoms of improper amp grounding. when you have a dreaded hum that never subsides, then you have a whole new, bigger problem 8)

Hey bro, high chance the problem will be solved by changing ur 2 pin plug to 3 pin plug. See the sticky thread.

HarrisonYeo: Same, lol. My Cube 30x is actually quite quiet. Don't see a reason to change the pin since that's the case...

maybe its your pickups. Does the amp hiss when no guitar is plugged in? I presume you have single coil pickups. Try using a gate.
