High quality earphones for heavy listening

my Sony MDR-EX71 (or isit 70?) just died yesterday after 4yrs of usage. that is a long time for an earphone. so i highly recommend the sony. plus the in-ear thing is bass heavy and it "locks out noises from outside."

i've tried those and the ear 'buds' were too huge for me! 8O can't get them into my ears at all. the sound is undeniably good though... try them on first to see if they fit before purchasing if you've got the chance to lol

maybe u got small ears? hehehehehehh... they actually come with three different sizes of the ear "buds". i used the medium one. maybe u can try the small one...

my sony MDR-EX71 earphones just died on me after close to 2 years of use

I'm intending to get the Panasonic HJE-50 earphones now though, they're similar to the MDR-EX71s but cheaper ($55 compared to $80) and rank a bit better in reviews...

Though if I had a choice I'd get the Shure E2C canalphones, best bang for the buck but it's over a hundred bucks :x

yesyesyyesyeyseysyeys i AGREEEEE!!!!

DO NOT BUY THE DAMN SONY EARPHONES!!! I GOT JACKED CUZ OF BRAND SHIT

i got mine for $68 bucks as it was on sale at simlim sq... no they DO NOT CUT IT... wait till u try the damn similar panasonic earphones and u'll immediately know why...

argh can't believe it... waste my damn $$... the diff between the sony and panasonic is that the panasonic one is REALLY air tight... its such a perfect fit it cuts out much much more sound then the sony one... i compared my friend's panasonic's and my sony's and thats that...

summore the sony bass is TOTALLY LACKING LAHHHH... sum1 up there say its like da bomb... no, if u compare with the creative stock zen earphones, u can't smell anything close to that bass with the $80 junk...

overall the panasonic is better... 1stly, more air tight, next, more bass and lastly its cheaper... the panasonic one looks sturdier to me too... this is my true honest opinion... i don't earn commision from panasonic nor have i a grudge on anyother sony's product (cept this $80 juck i'm stuck with now)...

can't believe it.. i actually bought the sony due to brand name... -_-" dumb me

creative stock zen earphones , are they any good? or are there better? What colours do they come in?

they are very good... they're loud in a sense that they produce louder solid sound with lower volume as compared to most other entry lvl earphones... they cost about $40 or more...

but the prob is that the stocks dun have "behind the neck loop" thingy... only a spilt into 2 equal left-right thingy... so i gotta wear them from the front... quite irritating sometimes but its good...

however, creative do sell other earphone products now by themselves... they're relatively new so i don't know how theire ear buds-type earphone compare with sony and panasonic...

if u all are interested in getting the sony the one with the bud coming out, try panasonic one, its cheaper and the sound quality its about the same, same design

Shure E2C. Not cheap but if you are willing to invest around $150 - $170. They are a good one or two steps up from the Sony EX71. I've been using EX71 for more than 4 years so I know what I'm talking about. In my experience, EX71 is too bass oriented.

Cheaper ok.. But what about endurance?? Can the Panasonic last longer than Sony stuff??
