hahha, not so easy la!
gibson = big $$ for small fries like me..
must slowly consider other options and where our money really goes!

but that aside,
thanks everyone for your opinions &inputs,(altho im not the TS)
it definitely widened my perspective.

cheers & goodnight,
:D.

high-end guitars are like some gold in your hands. It makes you have more confidence. For those people who are very particular about quality of wood or whatnot, they will see Gibsons as high end. High end guitars are usually see as expensive guitars but high end guitars meant that the quality and everything is the best and in most situation, it will be the most expensive. Thus, to most people, cheap guitars are low end guitars.

like DUH. i thought gibsons were not good enough for u.. hahhahahah :mrgreen:

Any guitar that sounds good, and stays in tune is good enough for me. Of course, they have to come with a short headstock, 3 by 3 or 4 by 2, vintage trem or hardtail, alder bodied, ash or mahogany, compensated nut or pleked frets and blah blah blah...:twisted:

the Gibson traditional is pleked to start with :) In comparison to a Gibson Standard & Studio, the humbuckers on an Epi sounds muddy. It would sound ok if not compared side by side...
The build is fine on the Epi but I just can't connect with it somehow.

You forgot playability  Same sentiments here. I wouldn't judge by price range but by personal experience. But for me, ideally it'll be an all-mahogany make.
