Hi guys, I'm pretty new to all these pedal stuff. So 2 weeks ago I went to buy a couple of pedals apart from the DS-1 I have for quite some time. Got a Decimator noise suppressor, SmallClone, DD-6, Slash signature crybaby, Voodoolab super fuzz and a fulltone mosfet overdrive. But i dont know if its my setup or what, the crybaby is super soft, the feedback is crazy with the overdrive and distortion, like 12 oclock for tone and 1 for dist, and the noise suppressor isnt helping much except totally cancelling out the overall sound or just making it soft but the feedback is still there. Could use some really good advice. Btw, my setup is as follows, amp>noise suppressor>chorus>delay>wah>fuzz>overdrive>distortion>guitar. Should i change the setup or anything or just sell some. ? Thanks.

Just a couple huh ??
sheesh...kids nowadays!!!

Guitar>wah>overdrive>distortion>fuzz>delay>chorus>throw away your suckpressor>amp

Try add one pedal at a time...as it will help isolate the problem.
First of all guitar into clean amp first ya.

The wah can be after fuzz for that much wah'ness too...your call.
When you cascade two or more gain pedals ...please go easy on the drive knob.

Enjoy.:D

haha, thanks so much. I'd try that. Anyway, the decimator sucks? shit i got conned. ): oh and somehow i've got a feeling that ive got too many distortion? the fuzz sounds super distorty. ):

haha, the isp decimator doesnt suck la, most probably ur setup just doesnt need the isp decimator.. its very rarely needed for a musician to use a noise compressor unless he cant tweak his tone and dist properly thus causing irritating hum... anyway, if u still want to use the isp decimator, just try to turn the knob before 12 oclock.. hope this helps..

anyway, omg, u just started out with pedals and ur getting crazy expensive ones already... learn how to tweak the pedals one by one.. i usually take about a few weeks to adapt to one pedal and use it to its full potential.. imagine in ur case u havent learnt how to tweak the pedals properly and they are already stacked together.. gonna be hard to get a good tone yeah?

good luck in ur tone quest young padawan :)

The decimator is a great product for removing buzz, hum and other unwanted noise but in the process it also removes certain characteristics of a dirt pedal ...imo. ISP was started by the original designers of the HUSH system for Rocktron after Rocktron was sold and f'more the circuit has a valid patent.

IF you can get your gear to behave, e.g no hum from guitar and amp, quality isolated power for pedals, quality cables and plugs etc. .... you don't need a suppressor. Most times i see guitar with broken ground connection being the culprit...check that too.

Certain fuzz pedals don't like to share power source and loves batt ...try doin that ...best on all your dirt pedals too. If you insist on tap power than get a PP2 or BBE Supacharger type regulated and isolated power source.

(Be advised that certain pedal makers claim that their pedals have inherent noise and removing it "kills the mojo"....this is just a bad design excuse..imo)

Cheers....

You're absolutely RIGHT. Way too many dirt pedals.

I'll take that Voodoo labs super fuzz off ya... how about it?

*Welcome to GEAR!*

thanks so much all, i think i'd really one day have to meet up with some of you and learn how to tweak stuff properly. and sorry for extreme noobness, but i dont understand half of what most of you are saying lol, sorry! and shred, ill sell you the super fuzz if you want. cos i really think i dont need it. just name your price, i got it at 245, so anything cheaper then that will do. thanks again all!

and welcome to the GAS CLUB. its gonna be painful on your wallet.

Keep the noise suppressor for any future studio recordings you may take part in.

May I know what style of music you are playing?
