Yo,

Alfe and I just dropped by today briefly. Although the place is a little cramped it still is an extremely fun shop for any drummers who love their toys....Also, the drum room sounds great! I really enjoyed fooling around on the Manu Katche kit in that room...sounds really good. I dunno if its for hire, but if it is, might be a good place for practice too.

Do check it out for those who hasn't been...the collection of sticks are nice too...do check them out!

not sure if it's opened offically? but im sure Nigel will do his best to accommodate you !

the dude just managed to sell (and deliver) me a great 7 piece Pearl Export kit for Yellow Box studios. and has only been out of major surgery for a weeks.

godamn.

Hey, is he's place like officially open now?

Yeap.

10 Haji Lane.

One of the coolest locations ever.
Not just for a drumstore, but for any kinda store.
Just dig the vibe.

Dropped by during lunchtime today, had a nice chat.

Hey all,

Just dropped by this afternoon...and yes....the vibe of the street is happenin...perfect location for a drum store.

I suggest that you set aside a good 1.5 hours to chat and try as many cymbals as you can. Nigel is super accomodating and you'll be surprised at the vastly different sounds you can get from the same model in a different packet..

Was looking for a Dark 15" Crash and ended up getting an Istanbul Thin crash...Good attack with dark undertones and low sustain. All the 15" Thin crashes I tried sounded different. So i took the darkest of them all.

What surprised me was an Istanbul 16" Custom Dry Ride...imagine that combination...and it was surprisingly big for its size and very pleasing to the ears...my ears at least...and the price was even more pleasing...but I cannot say it here cos nigel might wanna mark it up after he reads this raving review of it...heh....This ride comes in 17 and 18 as well and 17 sounded so good..18 was a little too bright for me...

Sorry to bore you guys with this but it's really worth going down to check out the cymbals.

Oh yeah, ran into Jay there too. No..not Jay Chou..Jay a fellow Softie...

Hiya fellow drummers and fellas!

I am truely glad to be alive and well despite what happened to me. I am enjoying the beautiful scar line down my chest. A constant reminder that I, we must not take life for granted. Surely God is loving and watching over us.

My one sincere desire and wish for us all (drummers in particular), is to see a certain unity and bonding among us all. Irregardless who we are, which influence we belong to, where we play for and how much we know, we will be one.

I am glad to be back to serve you all. Groove on......

Nigel Gan

thanks dude!

just bought some stuff from Nigel, our local drum dealer. gave me a good deal and will be going back to him if I need anything else that he carries. thanks dude! :)

The thick insulating material you sold me worked wonders. No complains and feels really good on the feet! LOL! You can actually market this material if you have the time! Thanks bro.

Nigel shop is now conveniently located along Haji Lane, if you're coming from Bugis MRT that side, his shop will be on the other end of Haji lane. Very accessible!

And I can say Nigel is starting to regain every former bit of himself. I spent like two hours testing between the two Black Panthers and even testing it on a kit. Totally helped me made up my mind later on. All I can say to those who have yet met Nigel, his personalised service on drums and related products is almost unparalled in Singapore man! It's definitely something you cant get at Swee Lee or Ranking where I would say not all of the salespeople know the "drum language" that drummers speak! :)

Good to have you back Nigel!
