Help please...Ibanez RG350DX

Hey guys, wonder if you guys can help me out here.

Situation: End of this year I've decided to get an Ibanez RG350DX. Is this a worth it option? Considering I will be using it as my main guitar.

Play Rock, Metal and abit of Neoclassical? Is there a similar guitar within that price range (850) that can better suit my needs? How about the Jem-Jr? Or another series of Ibanez? Tone wise, how does it fare?

Some considerations :
HSH or HSS (If really no choice, HH)
Must be floyd / Ibanez tremolo system
Versatile

Or something like that. Input welcome. Saved so hard this year and don't wanna buy something and regret.

A fender highway stratocaste, its an all you need guitar forever... you just have that one, you won't need anything else..

not true for evryone- i have 2 strats but i have not retired my ibanez guitars...

BlackMoo: the RG350 would suit your needs...

mi ex-guitarist was using dat, all ok, bridge doesn't stay in-tune with heavy whammy stuff, so either get a tremsetter or a new bridge if you intend to go crazy on it

Hmmm. Ibz trems have a custom cavity right? would be rather hard to retrofit. Any input here on relieving the tremolo problem?

it's such a female dog thing, when you go for a real nice dive, when you come back up, ur B-string is and Bb, and ur G-string is a little loose(haha), and you re-tune

the EdgeIII equipped guitars are the 2005 models, there are 2004 versions with the Edge ProII models, these stay in tune better.

otherwise, abandon your RG350 plans, get the RG450 instead, which is a Jap model, featuring the Edge Pro vibrato, which performs way better than the 2 aforementioned units.

the RG450 listed for $1,350 if memory serves me right...

the RG450 is every bit like the RG350 but differs in the mody material- the former is mahagony 8) & it has a maple fretboard (the remaining ones in Swee Lee has the maple fretboard version).

You might wanna check out the Schecter C-1 FR. Guitar 77 used to have a few but not sure whether they're still in stock.

Still ouch either way lols :D original budget 850.

mero - interesting ... however, need 24 frets.

Any other models or tremolo replacement possibilities for RG350?

if you are set on getting the RG350, i'd say leave the vibrato be. it's not that it's totally dysfunctional, i've played it before, it's acceptable.

Haha, actually it IS 24 frets.
