Dear Fellow Softies,

I'm in need of help here. Just bought GT-8. All get these irritating humming/feedbacks whenever I get on the distort and all... especially when stop playing the guitar..

Any suggestions.....????

Cheers

May we know what guitar you are using?

Certain types of guitar pickups are more susceptible to 60-cycle hum. Basically, singlecoils. If you are using humbuckers, or the second or forth position on a singlecoil-equipped strat, you shouldn't be getting hum. But feedback with distortion tones is a usual occurrence and if it is overly loud, try these:
- Face your guitar away from the amplifier.
- Do not play too close to the amplifier.

Or you might need to ground your amp. Basically, means to convert it from a 2-pin to a 3-pin if it is a 2-pin originally.

Also, you can use the in-built noisegate in your GT-8.
