HELP! AMP PROBLEM!!

Hey all, my amp, peavey bandit 112 transtube, has just gone bonkers on me. when i turn it on theres this sound like when you blow into a mic for a short while. then when i play it on clean theres barely any sound, on low gain theres a little sound, on high gain i get low gain. once in awhile theres no sound at all and when i crank up the volume theres crackling noises. what happened to me beloved amp? i love this amp!? its my favourite that i can afford. help me guys. thanks a bunch!

Turn off amp >> turn all your knobs back and forth a dozen times (fast action here pls) >> make sure your input jack is not loose >>> make sure your cables are good >>> should be good :wink:

If the above does not work ... look for a tech

kick amp from behind (when amp is off). If there is a built in reverb in the amp's circuit, i believe the transtube has, then the reverb spring or circuit might be spoilt. This can screw the amp up when reverb is on or off. If your amp works fine for a while, then suddenly goes bonkers at random, then the spoilt reverb may be causing this.
