haircut

I cut my hair really short just to piss my band off. LOL. K not really, I cut it at home with the kitchen scissors one day cos it was just too damn hot. Impulse lah. I kinda liked it tho, but my entire band hated it. And now I'm "banned" from certain privileges till I get my locks back. :(

Sometimes you just gotta cut, especially when you realise your hair can knot around your finger and stop the bloodflow. Hair from hell.

How come this topic is in the music kopitiam anyways? Lol

i'd do the bangs(sp?)just the front but long hair by the side like that hair metal look but its too common among the girls.becoming more scene.

That's a really specious point. There are no absolutes, but at least the rules will keep that to a minimum. Also you're giving the singapore school kid market a little too much credit. Big companies targets the general demographic, but doesn't take into account the use of their products in the classroom. In fact, only the recent wash off hair dye is specifically targetted for these folks.

Think of it this way, when you starve for a day and then when you finally get the opportunity to eat, you will tend to consume more food. In a weird way, by actually disallowing the kids to dye their hair or whatever, they are actually increasing the 'want' factor. Another point is that, there are tons of other products that the school permits (wax/clay/gel).

Also if you're talking about consumerism, there are tons of products that are targetted towards school kids.

The school isn't there to mother you outside of the school, unless you're wearing the school u. Everyone is welcome to buy whatever they want, as long as they can afford it. But in the school itself, the rules on appearance are there to stop the bullshit of mindless consumerism. And kudos to those who can clay their hair into a gigantic mohawk without getting it snipped off the minute they walk into school. And, except for klim and other healthy multi vitamin growing up milk, i don't see anything else that specifically targets school kids other than that wash off hair dye, that are meant to specifically bypass or subvert spore school rules. i dunno, is there anything else? Menthol air vapourisers for those unfortunate smokers?

It doesnt necessarily target school kids but still its consumed by kids, school shoes, socks, watches, stationary and everything you can imagine.
