yeah it's not really surprising since everytime a band says they are taking an extended hiatus, it really means a breakup. I always thought they had one more album in them though.

still i'd murder a few people to watch them live, but who wouldn't...?

heh, aint a bad thing they are sorta gone.

Its better to look back with fond memory than staying up till people getting pissed with their existence.

Yeah most post rock is starting to be a rehash parody of itself. Tortoise is still good though, and rather quite unlike the other bands stuck with the post rock label.

heh, every style is like that i guess. Some good, some still around, some shud be gone but still around and lastly, some more still trying to relive past glory while not being around when full glory was in season

Man I love post rock but I could never get in with Godspeed, coz they sounded really random with their 6 mins speech samples...damn...
