I'm heading overseas soon and I've been looking for a really small handy sized guitar to take up a mountain.
I've considered the Washburn rover and the Martin Backpacker, but due to their cost primarily, I've been slightly put off... (and the rover can't be found in Singapore anyway)
this has made me consider the guitalele which yamaha makes. its a 1/4 sized guitar, essentially a 6 string ukulele. as with all smaller guitars and travel guitars, I don't expect full tone and sustain.
anyone has experience with this thing? and had anyone seen it around Singapore?
ps - I've a ukulele and I've taken it overseas before for a similar expedition. but pity my skills aren't good with the uku... just not shiok enough haha
