now, where may i find say.. 1 x 12" Guitar speaker cabinets?

regardless of brands.

i'm just not sure i've seen any cabinets alone at like swee lee. or davis for that matter. hrm.

Davis had a Crate 1x12.

Citymusic brings in Vox cabs but I can't remember 1x12 or 2x12. You can also request for the Line 6 1x12 cab (look under the website) which is under 400SGD the last I asked - but note that the speaker is set for line 6 amp emulation (if i'm not wrong, it's like keyboard speaker, full range frequencies).

You might want to ask Sweelee about the Epi Valve Jr 12" extension cab too, see if they want to bring in.

Most of the time, the stock isn't here. You do have to order it.

1X12 cab? If you have a spare combo amp lying around, you could wire it up to use as a small speaker cab?

Ranking also brings in cabs from the Carvin line. You can actually special request from them.

Or (sorry for the hijack but I just had to do this) you can buy my 2x10 cab. :)

Hehehe.

Just to add, from my gatherings, if you want a specific feature cabinet, Malaysia cab makers or ebay is the best way to go. Even with shipping there will occasionally be cheap deals on ebay from time to time.

Hey thor bro, you mentioned malaysia cab makers, do you know any others, other than Nik?

FYI Nik has V30s now. Dun pray pray.

And, in all seriousness, my 2x10 is really on sale! :)

PMed. Nice. It means people looking for Celestion speakers should email Ceriatone now. I don't think you can go too far wrong with V30s!

Go >> look for old cabs ...get it re-tolex.. or just get your dimensions and spec to any carpenter at industrial area near you ... good quality ply wood will do the trick ...

There is no one easy way out ..... if you want something hard to get you have to work for it ....things dont drop out of your pc !!

Locally there are speaker cabs manufactures ....mainly for PA speakers custom for clubs etc. Look up commercial guide for tips ...give them a buzz and get a rough quote !!

or if u desperate, build ur own cab!!!

I was really desperate for 2X12, so i bought 8X4 feet plywood 185mm thick, n copied some dimensions of other cabs. total cost, less than 100 for wood n cutting for 2 cabs, the rest just do ur own joints n glue, n screw.

then fit in speakers, n play.

Not trying to haolian, but it can be done, n esp if u like carpentry like me lol.

this industrial place at sembawang. cost of wood is cheap, like 40 onli. Big enuf to do a 4X12 or 2 2x12. the price i list is for 185mm, which is standard i think. If u want lighter, the thinnest u can go is 150mm, still ok for tone.

U can get glue n all from then, also u need other wood like chengal to do butt joints. The cost to cut the wood is abt same as the wood itself, but save urself the trouble, let their machine do it for u.

1 piece of advise, let the glue set in first, then proceed. U want strong secure joints, if not when u play loud, the cab will rattle n buzz.

bad excuse
get photobucket ...just

sorry took with handphone camera lol. The reason why the speakers not in line we cuz i fitted it wrongly n had almost 4mm less space. But now it looks like a bassman cab lol.

I didnt bother to do much decorating, just stain wood, n just get it hooked up n see how it sounds like.

done up in 5 days glue n finishing

Its plywood, 185 mm thick, HEAVY!!!!!!!! I stained the wood to that color matt finishing, cuz light wood colour nicer n u can see grain but gets dirty.

I put in eminence gb128, nice n glassy but lack abit of tight bass. No piercing highs that i HATE!!!

thinking of puttin grill cloth soon, to protect the cones, n also fit in the plastic thingy facing the centre of the cone to control the highs, like the way u do to ur yamaha amp hehe.
