Guitar problems

Hi all,

I am currently having some issues with my guitar.

Firstly, whenever I tune my guitar, I cannot get a correct tune as in its not 100% in tune. And it always goes out of tune when I play it and I have to keep tuning it.

It wasn't like that before. Is there anyway I can bring my guitar for a "FULL BODY CHECKUP" and then see what changes can be done?

Secondly, I also would like to change my pickups. I am using an Epi LP. Anyone can recommend mid range pickups and around how much they will cost? I don't want my LP sounding so "bassy" if that's possible. THanks all!

if you want your electronics done, i'd say go to beez. if you want your setup done (and if youre planning on some serious playing) go to malcom.

Go for Gibson '57s man! And oh yeah... Change the tuners... You prolly got a set of lemony tuning machines

You can also try Sinamex at Parkway Shopping Centre, it's at where CityMusic is.

You should check your nut b4 concluding if it's the tuners. I heard that the strings might eat into the nut after time resulting in tuning inaccuracies.

Reth: My guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul.

I bought it in 2004. I was pretty new to guitars that time. I bought from Swee Lee at Sims Dr.

The guy told me it was a 50th anniversary custom LP.

it needs intonation ...

do the tilt adjusment on your pups ...bring the pup closer to the high E and futher from the Low E... if still not to your liking then go for good ceramic replacement pups for that added kachinnnngggg !

hey bro , abt the tuning part , did you just set set up new strings ?
if you do you need to let the strings "settle " down abit.
else u can tighten the tuner, reintonate ,and check the neck ..
just to be sure ...OR ..the strings need to be replace id its worn out

as for the bassy tone , just up the bass on the amp
you might wanna checkout the tone zone and invader for bassy tone

From the pic, your intonation looks terribly off on the low E string and G string. All your E shape barre chords will likely sound really bad as the 3rd will be much sharper than it should be. This is likely the main problem. check you intonation with the open stirng and 12 fret. It should be exactly one octave. If its flat, shorten the string by adjusting the screw at the saddle and vice versa.
