guitar picks

stubbies for me, 2.0mm, any of you guys use this too? if so, do you have the problem of it wearing out and becoming very rough?

I use Jim Dunlop Tortex Sharps 1.35. Those with a pointed tip and black in color haha. Best feel that I ever found in a guitar pick! :D Somehow I prefer the tortex texture to plastic picks, they feel more substantial and easy to grip haha

Yeap, I use them... wear isn't too bad unless you do pick scraps with them! And well... yeah... I play for a couple of hours everyday... been using the same stubby for the past few months...

If there is really a problem... you COULD... sandpaper it off. ;) Overkill but yeah... heh.

My favourites are still picks made out of delrin. Specifically either 2.0mm dunlops, or Prs. It's gotta be thick to be able to handle the .10s on my guitars :D

I simply love the Tortex. The Wedge...it has the powdery feeling and the wide bass allows a better grip, .73mm for me.

After the tortex, comes the JazzIII..

i used to use ESP heavy.. but i duno where to find them anymore.. So i switched to ibanez joe satrianis.. Then when i first went over to my teacher's place for the first lesson.. He introduced me to Jazz IIIs and i've been using them ever since :D

eh i wonder hw u guys can use so thick picks(2.0mm) nt uncomfortable ah? i find 1.5mm picks are already uncomfortable to pick with...

personal philosophy: the thicker the pick, the less energy needed to play, less lethargy, less mistakes 8) however, thick picks come with a tradeoff, they make those noisy clanking sounds in contact with the string. recently, i've got a preference for Dunlop's 3.0 Stubby, but i prefer the nylon version...

i've just been made a convert to a jazz iii user. :D

the only other pick i like now is the awe-in-one transparent profound pick, which gives me some shimmer and sparkle when playing the notes. very nice! :)

hmmm, i use strictly fender picks, haha because theyre very cheap, haha a pack of 12 Extra Heavy picks at swee lee costs $4, so its abt 33c a piece, and its got that tortex texture

Pros:
Cheap
Doesn't break easily
I like the sound
Just right for me, although i wouldn't mind it being a bit thicker, but its the thickest gauge they got

Cons:
Its in ugly purple
Only sweelee sells the packs
