guitar picks

yes moggie, i am. i dun wan to keep it. its been with me like for the past 2yrs! if u wan it, pm me ur address. i'll send it to u asap.

If you want to get a more clear sound, use the harder ones like the jazz III. The thinner picks would produce a softer sound on your guitar...theres also the size of the pick...some likes it to be big while some likes it to be small..

hey, why don't we have pick swapping, haha, just an idea, so maybe we can try around each others picks and it might actually help us find that special niche pick

i've been using a jim dunlop tortex hard pick for about a year and i really love it. it's my lucky pick used it for all performances because the feel is great!

and it was thrown away once by my maid but recovered it in the dustbin luckily. so it's all scratchy and the printing is gone now. but sadly i cant find any of these at sweelee. anyone know where to find these JD tortex or smth smiliar to it? it's rather small

Am I the only one using light picks... I am using the tortex .60mm pick (dun mind using the .5 and .73 tortex) but always feels wierd using hard picks....

if swee lee dun have it anymore, try davis then. but if u can't find them try the jazz 3. lots of softies swear by them i think. same size only smoother feel. the black one is stiffer, while the red one is a little flexible. can be found in swee lee or davis too. i'm using the black j dunlop tortex. love the feel.

btw, i'm giving the picks to mr moo. so dun pm me anymore ok...

great! that's my lucky pick there! on top right...

i'll try the jazz pick next time i pop by davis...

if u still want ur luck pick (the purple one rite?) but can't find it, try the black one (top left), but ask for the 1.14mm(don't get others!) thickness. basically the same pick (ie same thickness) only diff colour.

hey, everybody wants to try the different types of picks, look for MichaelAngelo! hehehehhhe...

on a serious note:
try all sorts of picks u can get ur hands on. its like looking for the best fit for a pair of jeans. u'll eventually find ur nirvana...

ps: hell, picks even feels better upon constant usage after it has worn in!

i bought the jazzIII on impulse.. went to the store got 3 kinds of pics.. went home tried every different one .. somehow i liked this small red pick.. always go back to it.. i decide to stick to it.. i was in DT madness point of time.. so i went through john petrucci's gear.. there it was... "John Petrucci uses Jim Dunlop Red Jazz3s.". that was the little red pick!

haha, quite a similar story, i first bought the pick when i was still in the punk rock stage, where if one could play All The Small Things by Blink 182, he would be hailed by all his friends... anyway, i first got one from yamaha, because i'd never seen such a "small" pick before! Then later on as i realised that i wasnt a great guitar hero all because i could play Sum 41's Hell Song or All The Small Things...I went into metal, then i saw "Michael Angelo uses Jim Dunlop black JazzIII picks", bought it immediately, but still found the red ones smoother. Now into rock n roll(cos i think metal is too sad and depressed), but still using the little red jewel nontheless. :D

I suppose that's why Neil Zaza used one pick for his entire tour eh? :D

p.s. If i'm not mistaken EJ uses the red jazz IIIs as well.
