Anyone know how i can work around this . It sounds just fine in mainstage but when recording in logic it sounds so soft . What equipment do i need or how do i work around this anyone know ? all comments appreciated . This is killing me !

Outline of my gear

Guitar --> single 1/4 line into the 1/L unbalanced 1/4 input of my Behringer FCA202

( thinking of getting the splitter so i can put in both L/R 1/4 inch unbal inputs in my 202 will that help ? )

Software -- Logic Studio 8

You need a preamp of some sort to boost the signal, or you can just turn up the gain in Logic when recording. The splitter won't help since the unbalanced inputs are probably meant for a stereo signal, (like keyboard outputs).

Hey this is going to be a stupid question but whats a preamp . do they have specific ones for connection to guitar to audio interface ? Or should i get a separate interface meant for connecting guitars to macs and use that as the input ? my current interface im plugging into is used only for the output to my monitors

If it works fine in Mainstage, it should work in Logic and probably not because of the lack of a preamp/DI (should invest in one). Have a look at your recording and output levels in Logic...
