Guitar for starters.?

heys!!!
i need advice, on wad electric guitar to get...
my budget is around.. $500++ .? or maybe a little more//less
would be better, if it comes in a set together with amps cables etcetc..

if not, pls recommend which brand of amps would be good. cheap and good. =D

and pls.. anyone can tell me the diff between electric guitars that have single coil pick ups, and humbuckers/ humbucking pick ups..

do state where i can get it/ them in singapore.. eg. peninsula plaza/ peace centre.. etcetc..

yur help would be greatly appreciated!!!

oya.. plss tell me the price as well, for any elec guitar/ amps/ set u feel is good, worth, and within my budget..
