Hiya ppl,

my new stock of Guitar Shielding Paint & aluminium foil from Stewart MacDonald just arrived last night.

Anyone who needs their guitar body cavity and pick guard shielded with this shielding paint and foil (for the pickguards) PM me. Best rates assured.

Cheers

unless your pickguard scratch is on the inside.. i dun think u can cover it up..

I guess you're mistaken on what guitar shielding paint and the aluminium foil is for.. its mainly used on the inner cavity and inner pickguard to lessen/eliminate 60Hz cycle hum caused by single coils..

fgl, do you have copper tape?

nOPE - only have alum. I prefer it to copper - results just as good but thinner - as most pickguard manufacturers also use alum

more info on ur service? can it cover up my pickguard scratch?

Even if you use chrome foil for yr external pickguard surface, the strach will show.

Alum foil to line inside of pkgrd, paint to paint body cavity - for a combined complete shielding of the guitar

alu can't be soldered.

so gotta make sure that all overlaying sheets have good contact to each other.

gimme thin copper foil anytime.

or...

gimme Bill Lawrence pickups anytime. Shielding... who needs shielding?

I find this a more practical use of aluminium.

Last time I had my Saber shielded with Alu, the whole cavity... tech had to spray adhesive to glue the Alu to the cavity... MAN. Imagine how it was later when I start experiementing with switching stuff? The Alu tore, the whole cavity was sticky, yuck.

No need to solder, just paste on with slight overlap ok ...

I find copper thick, - with alum foil I have even foiled the entire body cavity before...but to each their own I guess...

OK who wants their's done?

SURE... shielding paint in pick ups area, foil on underside of pickguard and paint in control cavity area... reduce the hum

i see first, my guitar being upgraded now, its a fender american ash.

American model? Normally they already shud have shielding paint with a ground wire screewd to the inside of the body so no need to do any more liao
