GT-2 + DS-1

Hey guys how u think of this combination? Say gt-2 more of rythm and ds-1 more to boost the solos/riffs and so on... any comments or other recommendation to go with gt-2?

I'm using that very combo myself and there's pretty good tones to dish out of these 2 units. then again, "good tone" is very subjective and it differs from each individual....so try to experiment around more if you could. like for some, the metal-zone will suffice as a lead tone boost while some swear by ts-9 for example.

last but not least......the eq-ing of your stuffs plays a big part too hope i'm of some help there

The GT2 is a very versatile distortion unit. It can go jazz clean to all out death metal without a booster. Its tone is more on the modern side. Analog modelling is also much warmer than digital stuff.

If you throw a DS-1 before the GT2, you can get a thick lead tone. Plus, you can combine the DS-1 before all the GT2 tonal possiblities, which is a ridiculously huge range.

Sorry when u say before GT-2 means...

Guit -> ds-1 -> gt-2 -> amp?

haha no idea. i only know when i put wah pedals infront of ds-1, i'll get a thicker and more "gloomy" tone. if i put it after the ds pedal, it will sound more trebly. i think lol.
