It's been so long since i've seen Jurassic 5 that was way back in 2002 when i was in Seattle. Really amazing ol skool rap similar styles and rhymes to Sugar Hill Gang.

..

saw this interesting email. thought it would be useful.

Hey everyone,
The guys over at Kinemat have asked for help to spread
the word on the above volunteering gig. If anyone's
keen to be a helper/usher for the upcoming Good
Vibrations Festival at the Fort Canning on 19 Feb 2007
4pm do drop her an email.

http://www.sistic. com.sg/cms/ events/index. html?content= 716

She is on the lookout for folks who will be committed
to 5 days' worth of activities namely,
1. 3 weekends' worth of flyer distribution
2. to help out at the Pre-party the night before the
event on Chinese New Year
3. In return, you will receive a crew pass, a pass to
the event worth up to $80 on the day and err yeah,
mingle with the artistes who are due to appear at the
Festival. Also, as a bonus, a letter of appreciation
will be given out to the school-going young ones.

The Beastie Boys kicked ass! Their set was kinda long for a festival. More than satisfied. They were so cute and funny!

..

yeah man... i love the beastie boyz!!

off the top of my head, some of the songs they played:

gratitude
sureshot
root down
intergalactic
3 mcs & 1 dj
brass monkey
no sleep till brooklyn
ch-ch-ch-check it out
shake your rumpa
something's gotta give
groove holmes (ins)
sabrosa (ins)
and sabotage!!!

so cute when they dressed up in suits!

me <3 beasties! :D

I think they don't play Fight For Your Rights for a long time. But yeah, I was hoping they'll play that. My favourite.

They mentioned like the song was a joke which got really outta hand and they canned the live performance of the tune like 20 years ago.

Still, they did 'Sabotage'...

Mix Master Mike is not from this planet. One of my favourite vinyl pushers (the other being DJ Shadow). His turntable really "sings"....

"mix master, cut faster!"

I <3 DJ Shadow but he didn't seem to do too much at the Zouk show last year eh?

What I've heard from some DJ friends is that he gave up on trying to be the best turntablist or something?

skylar : eh, can I get a nice copy of a photo you took? I see myself inside. Ha. One of the beastie boys photos.
