hmmm...where tog et FAB distortion? should i get GT2 or FAB? i wan a strong gain tone..

Fab Distortion at Music Plaza. Last I checked seems to be no stock. As to whether you should get, go try it when they restock. For my usage it's good up to playing hard rock, metal probably not.

GT2 is pretty heavy and sounds rock all over perhaps because of its strong mid range. Again, take your time, try out GT2 and GDI 21. I can't emphasize the word try enough.

how can you compare something that is 250 and something that is 100? People pay higher price for the quality.

But of course, the GDI-21 is still a gd buy for tt price.

yup, the GDI is handly as a secondary drive pedal. i use it to shape my tone properly on amps with distict default sounds... for example, i want a fat chugging sound but i'm given a bright marshal... i just dail in some mild calif mesa boogie setttings on the GDI to fix this, but use my main randolfied ds-1 to push it to distortion...

if u are looking for a particular distortion, maybe u would like to get a main distortion pedal first. but if u have no preference and want versitality, get the GDI-21

can GDI-21 be main dist? hmm..cuz i tot of getting GT2 for my main dist...but then i'm quiet budget now..u think GDI-21 can use for main dist also? and i wanna get somemore pedal mayb to boost it up yeah?

the gdi is dirt cheap but i dont like it anymore. why?

the gain control doesnt do much. it sounds a bit digitalish for the mesa boogie channel. there is a boost in volume when modes are switched between hi gain and clean for mesa boogie and marshall channel.

but the fender clean is nice.

but it's a good beginner pedal. versatile, can do much. but for advanced players, they'll get something better.

but for you which 1 will you get?

I don't think it will help you if you know what I got. People have different preferences, and none of the 3 mentioned are truly horrible to say a large number of guitarists. I have the Fab Distortion for the record.

i have the Fab Distortion

i find it alright.

at least, if u dont like it. your heart wont feel pain cos it isnt that expensive

hahaz..cuz i tried gt2 before..it's awsom man...so i tot of owning 1...but then is juz too ex...sad

there's a forummer puremilk offering a DIY kit for GT2, have no experience dealing with him though. Warning: Not easy to build. There's quite a number of components in that pedal.

The Danelectro Tuna Melt sounds pretty sweet, if you don't mind a slight volume boost when the effect is engaged. Like the other pedals in the series it's also kinda flimsy and the bypass isn't all that good. Still love my little yellow pedal though. S$60 or so?

if u really want something cheap, try the danelectro fab metal. $25. it's ok lah but for the price it's good. can do metal.

or try dano's black coffee metal
