Wow, didnt even know this thread existed! Guess it must be due to how busy I am....
the better bigger and badder it sounds. itll maim and destroy most distortion units. ive found it cuts through great both recording and live.
I agree.... The seventheaven is badass live. Had it for 2 years already and counting, and it still delivers the goods live. Bedroom guitarists wont covet it as there are no smooth tones to be had. You wont get any Santana tones out of it (unless you boost it with a fuzz which I tried with surprisingly great results), but if you want something in the ballpark of a Diezel or Bogner in a pedal format, it will get you there.
This was at the recent SOFT band gathering...seventheaven on the red channel (high gain mode). Rhythms was big, crunchy, articulate and clear, while my leads were liquid and saturated enough with the help of my Pure Drive(timmy/ts type OD) boosting the 7th's front end. My other guitarist faizal_rocks used a 7th too, and ironically, alot of people commented that we didn't sound local. haha.
Check out these vids of the 7th being used live, in a band setting....it was quite loud considering how small the place was and it was pretty packed too
