Gibson LP Vs PRS standard satin

About a year ago I started this tread and created 40 pages of Gibson and PRS war and learnt Schroeder to chicken rice to English grammar. One of the members convinces me to buy a PRS, so I source PRS from US and Japan. After three unsuccessful transactions, I decided to buy a PRS locally and went down to a shop. Tried a few PRS singlecuts but I want to try Gibson Les Paul one more time and that’s it.

I have to admit that fret works on PRS is a lot better (for my liking) than Gibsons.
But “the tone” “ the tone” “les paul tone”. So I bought back a Gibson Les Paul classic because I like uncovered 57 classic pickups over burstbuckers. I was very excited to plug in and play the guitar. The moment I plug in lots of “hum” coming out from amp, I change the cables, no luck. I changed the guitar and noise is gone. Plug back in les paul and “hum” noise come back. There was no problem in the shop though. Needless to say I am disappointed that I didn’t expect this kind of problem from USD 2000 guitar.
HELP PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEASE.

But here are the pictures regardless.

A LP "Classic" doesn't come with Classic 57s, they have the hotter ceramic pole pieces. 496R and 500T IIRC.

those would be wax potted, I guess. So thre shouldn't be hum. But if the TS was using 57 classics, then the hum is definately there. Humbuckers don't mean no hum. It means less hum. But once it's wax potted, the hum whould be more reduced.
