Getting the 80's tone with effects

Hi there just wondering how to get those 80's like tones with effects...

right now,i am just using a slight reverb and a slap back delay and yet something is still missing...

do i need to add in a chorus pedal to add in that extra punch???

some examples of what i am trying to achieve is tone similar to Bon Jovi,Skid Row...
