gap in neck pocket of bolt on guitars

hi guys, does gaps in the neck pocket of bolt on guitars affect anything? is it just a pure cosmetic flaw? or something worse?

what i mean by gaps is the guitar itself, when you look at the neck joint/pocket, there's gaps between the neck and the pocket/joint itself.

eh, i'm talking about gap between neck and pocket, not cracks on the joint. it can be 1mm or 1 cm, any kind of gap no matter big or small

if you have a 1cm gap on the guitar.... go and challenge people on the forum for a neoclassical battle... and winner get to smash that guitar on the loser's head.

small gap is ok lah. when i mean small is less than 1mm.

Tonewise... you may or may not hear a difference but a well built bolt on guitar should not have gaps.

There are many vintage guitars with small gaps, some can even slip name cards through the gaps.
