sorry for the bad lighting

Congrats on the Suhr, I checked out the Turqoise one while I was at g77. Gave me a sleepless night!

Amazing guitar for the money!
Haha...I was deciding btwn the turqoise and the orange crush, and finally settled for the latter. Ya, I agree...it plays and sounds superbly...very nice guitar for the money. The Pro Series is actually the Suhr Standard with set specs.....minus the custom options (and high price). Quality-wise is better than MIA Fenders, but on par with Custom Shop Fenders.
what are the price range for the suhrs at G77?
I think you've to call G77 for that. Mine was pre-ordered 9 mths ago with Dennis and I couldn't disclose our agreed price. Pai seh lah.

really like the look of ur strat man crozzfire. the colours are really good and the HS config is just cool looking, something id opt for cos the middle kinda gets in the way all the time. and i just realised that ure using a lefty trem just like srv, does it feel any diff from a righty trem besides the placement? cos im kinda thinking along the lines that there might be a diff due to the bar being on the bass side rather than the treble but im just crapping cos ive not tried one b4 heh.

haha thanks for the comments! yea i agree with the middle pickup part, sometimes i really under-utilize it, so decided to change to H-S instead to suit my needs. hmm the trem when i use it, disadvantage is that i cant adjust the vol knob so conveniently. but imo la, it feels more comfortable to use the trem arm this way than at the bottom. well, you can always feel free to try it!

It's here. :smt041
Just thought I'd share my joy.

HP camera pics, not too good, I'll make do till I get a good digicam to take more pics of it.

A Fender strat is meant to be played thru a Fender tube amp. :tonqe:
Can't seem to rotate my pic and save it, sorry.

Yuriy Shishkov's supposed signature.

Pretty cool logo embroidery in the lining of the case.

It's a Fender Masterbuilt (Yuriy Shishkov) 1964 Closet Classic Strat, in case anyone is wondering.

Rings like a bell, really resonates. Fat sound, but in no way muddy. The Custom Shop Fat 50's do a very good job on this strat. Highs are retained with clarity even on the neck pup. The oval C-shaped nitro-satin neck is extremely comfy to play on. The 7.25" fretboard radius may not be the most inviting spec on most guitars, but somehow it isn't an issue on this strat.

A/B-ed it with a couple of Tylers, a Suhr Classic, and a Don Grosh Retro Classic. The Tyler Retro Classic with a demeter boost came closest to the Yuriy, but the demeter boost seemed to make it a little muddy, esp with gain pedals. The Suhr didn't feel as good/comfy in my hands, but sounded better to me than the Grosh and the Tyler Studio Elite.

Not saying my strat is better than others, just relating my experience during a try-out. I happen to like the sound that the Yuriy produces a lot.

Happy New Guitar Day. :)
