Hey man .. the tele's done.. its now a dual P90 pearl white tele. looks alot better then tobacco sunburst la... haha

AX7: the MIJ spl-80 "angel" white strat was bought from another local guy. He shipped it in from Ishibashi. at that time i asked ishibashi it was 1.4k with texas specials... I added the gold pole pieced kinmans later on.

anyway the EJ strat is really a class of its own. im keeping mine for good.
Hows your suhr holding up? ... wanna trade your suhr with a tokai lp? hurhurhur

no way balls. i cant survive without my suhr. even my prs is kept mostly in the case nowadays. oh ima gassing for another suhr, but ill never be able to afford another one for a long time. next ill get is prob a suhr tele. been hearing tonnes of good stuff abt them but then again i think its just my GAS speaking for me. dun really need one.

Chanmin post some pics of your pearl white tele leh. how does it compare to the strat?

ax7: The finish is a transparent white to pearlescent white burst.. Very elegant..

penta-tonic: How are your Suhr Strat's pickups like? I realise the rest of the guitar plays a huge part but I'm starting to GAS for a set of Suhr pickups to replace my Texas Specials in my SRV.. It's a great guitar but I'm feeling that the pickups are letting it down. I transplanted ChanMin's Kinmans into my SRV to try out the Kinmans but though they sounded better, the routing's too shallow to let me adjust the pickups properly. :? Annoying..

well, having tried kinmans, stock fenders, texas specials, id say nothing really stands up to the suhr v60lp pickups. they have this really awesome tone. sparkle and snap and they really sound good on clean and with gain. my take is kinmans sound too high fi and lacks warmth compared to the suhrs. really good stuff. ask chanmin, hes got a set in his strat as well and he isnt 100% happy with the ej's pickups when compared to it.

chan, get the damned suhr tele. that one u prob wouldnt let go. the seeds have been planted and they have probably flourished already. u know u want it.

cmon, buzz feiten, stainless steel frets, that yummy finish and a 1 piece neck.

no no no the EJ is diff man .. its like.. shiokness. Really different from the many ive tried. really stands out. if i dont like the pickups after awhile. its suhrs v60lps already.
i mean a fender is a fender.. ones gotta have a rosewood and a maple.
i think i covered these two very well with what i haf now.

a suhr is ... well .. see how this year savings lor.. maybe 2008 chinese new year gift to myself~~ hur hur hur

haha a suhr will do fender and much more. but i guess u must have the word fender there rite? might as well sell the gibby and keep the tokai. esp since gibbys arent nitro anymore, the tokai will age quite nicely and horribly i suppose esp in our kinda weather, all that finish checking and prob discolouration but like what they say, it breathes better than poly or acrylic urethane finishes.
