i see subversion has a PX4D.
i myself use the regular PX4 for silent practice, previously had both PX2 and PX3.
best distortions were from the PX2 tho.

anyway, my most recent is a 1988 Orville by Gibson SG.

Hi Sub,

May I know what is the gagdet in the centre of the picture? What does it do? Thanks.

bro- that's Korg's Pandora PX4D (not PX4A- that one's for accoustic). it's a pocket multi-FX unit which accepts headphones very well. the PX4D is the latest incarnation by the manufacturer, i'm not too indulgent in multi-FX units but the PX4D is really useful for me because it accepts both guitar & bass (also included are metronome & drum/ bass backing tracks for practice). this incarnation also includes a midrange control, previously absent & makes the unit lacking in depth. 8)

yea thats the main reason i got that SG.
its actually not yellow, but a very faded white thats been attacked by cigarette smoke from countless bars.
i just sent it to be refinished in black, getting it back by end of jan this month.

some stuff...

3 pedals i bought late this year, the black coffee being the most outstanding among the company...

Sponge Bob: hey Sandy, better stand back, i'm gonna pump up the gain...
Sandy: No, Sponge Bob, we already have the Micro Metal Muff & the TS7 to do that!

my Metal Muff family is complete...

after that photo shoot, Sandy & Sponge Bob were kept away- they're collecting dust...

missed this out: my new NANO Muff 8)
mufffamily1.jpg

yes, there's an issue pertaining to daisy-chain power supply with it but like i said before, i'm running my pedals on batteries so it's a superb pedal in my collection.

Hey sub, how does the nano muff and little big muff compare, in terms of sounds? And the crate block, does it have good cleans and does it take pedals well? :)

Power Block review has been posted- more details there 8)

i'm having the NANO Muff review up soon but as preliminaries, it's less fuzzy, more plain drive. the NANO Muff currently works well with my BOSS DS-1- nothing intensive drive-wise but the saturation is great.

hey sub

how are the Metal Muffs for tight compressed metal tones? and why did you buy all three variants?

you'll need a compressor for a compressed metal tone, not the MUFFs 8)

i've recently talked to a pedal junkie on the net (not from SOFT, of course) saying that the 3 MMs have a variant tone that hard distortion fans would like. it seems that the NANO version has the basic offering, the bigger variants simply contain feature enrichments. this means that you can get the NANO voicing from the bigger siblings but not vice versa.
