The compressor section of the Route66 is actually a variation of the classic Dynacomp. The most common complaint among new users of this comp is that it's too dark or hissy. This is actually a sign for you to back off on the sustain knob setting. Try it as most users find that this will minimize the hisssss.

neither is the route66, which produces the same irritating hiss.
Is this like, removable? Randolf? Anyone?

actually, that rubber padding is an optional accessory that enhances grip. here's one without:

Hmmm now that's interesting. What's the patching order of your pedals and the guitar, pup and amp then maybe we can spot where the problem. Otherwise you have a strange symptom.

haha, too late, i already got them on mi guitar, as soon as i get it back frm gc
