Sorry which one are you talking about? Not very sure about the title. But is it the concert where Satriani, Steve Vai and Malmsteen played together?

If thats the video you're talking about, hell yea its really cool!

It's live in denver, so it's the one with Satriani, Vai and Malmsteen together.

i hate it when people try to shred excessively aka turning little wing into shredfest :) but of course, respect to malmsteen for his skills.

i tink little wing was jus nice leh, not too fast, not too slow, there was some shedding but they still had the slower "feeling" inside

I have both DVDs and I like them. (The '97 one with johnson as well as the '03 in denver) Btw, anyone know how I can get the G3 vid / audio with petrucci?

The one with Eric Johnson can be easily found at most record shops...saw a copy of the DVD once at HMV

me too. Malmsteen was in his own world there.

yea man, thought so too, didnt quite get wad he was trying do to entertain the crowd... mad kicks in the air, guitar strap slings? He even trashed his strat! omg 8O

I thought the Dever one was quite good, especially Steve Vai's I know u'r here.
Skills aside (coz at their level, I think skills may not be the only highlight anymore), I think Vai's creativity and musical feel has reached a new height with that song :)

The one with EJ was very good also lah. EJ's playing probably is one of the most sophisticated in the blues/rock genre (though I think he has incorporated some jazz element there)

The rest, Satch, Malmsteen, Petrucci...they are all masters in their own genre of music. It's really hard for me to watch a G3 and not get impressed :)

It seems to be a customary thing for malmsteen to do every concert. He does it everywhere he goes.

Exact sentiments!!! All r great in terms of skill, but the one that connected with the crowd the most was Vai. I felt he compromised alot on his skill, but man he allowed the whole band to put on a great show, and i think thats what pple come to see. I mean seeing Billy Sheehan jamming with him already is like a concert by itself lol.

I felt that Malmsteen was like just playing his own stuff, but if u noticed, Vai was like trying to figure out wat the other guys were playing to compliment. But all were great man, just that im a huge Vai fan thats all.

After watching, i cant really remember a highlight for the other 2 guitarist in terms of their act, but Vai certainly amazed me when all the band mates came together to do that simple yet amazing stuff... it was like WOW

Lets hope they visit us here yeah

i was at citylink HMV, dnt have leh but i bought the live in denver at there at a cheap price, cheaper than the audio cd

I think it's quite rare now, given that it's old. Try other Stores like "Sembawang" or "Music Junction". Should be able to find it there.
