FORGOTTEN and RELATIVELY UNKNOWN Bands/Musicians

That's the guy... Great band. Though I love the guy's songs, I must still say... his ego destroyed the band and his own career.

jdy

seriously. that point of time when The Verve was a hot band, they can single handedly overshadowed overseas. well, Ego, can do shitty things to a band like The Verve.

Wrathchild America is a talented, metal 4-piece, the band later came to be known as Souls at Zero. wonder how many of you here heard of/ know this band...

Great band subversion! I have "Climbing The Walls" and "3-D Man" in casettes last time. Love the song "Surrounded by Idiots" on the 2nd album and the Pink Floyd cover they did on the 1st album.

Haven't heard the music of Souls at Zero but I know drummer Shannon Larkin jumped ship to Ugly Kid Joe after that and then after a bunch of other bands... and is now in Godsmack. Always thought he was one hell of a drummer... definitely made an impact in UKJ's music!

hey- i have Climbing/ 3-D on cassette tapes as well... the SAZ materials are down-tempo stuff but remains catchy.

word was, Shannon Larkin defected to UKJ for the dope, but that remains questionable...

I knew that those guy were initially just called Wrathchild... but becuz another UK glam band had the same name and they lost the lawsuit, so no choice gotta add in the word "America" after Wrathchild to avoid confusion.

I always wanna get those albums on CDs... but the prices on eBay are pretty high for "Climbing The Walls". :?

How about Lenny Kravitz? I don see anyone mention about him in the forum. He's a good old skool rocker with a touch of funk in his playing, and good songwriter as well.

I missed the stoned revivals, like their song "Goodil", by the way I found a web where there are links to dload some good old local band songs. Think the site is by Joe Ng(padres), Njoy!!

hey Mobius, cool site there! thanx for the link! lots of stuff by locas! there's even Moods and Manifest! wooohooo!!! lots of live stuff as well! even the indon band Dewa is there! best! best!

love u Mobius!

btw Lenny Kravitz rock big time. love his earlier works in the albums "Circus" and "Are U gonna Go My Way". new songs with vintage tones...

Man, I have THAT demo. I can still remember He-shall-not-be-named disowning indie while playing grunge and ripping off Coabain. Then, the next year, voila! Sebreynic logo using the Oasis font and the new tunes all so indie man... Wooooo...
