Music For Good (MFG) and Aging Youth Records (AYR) have collaborated on the For Good! CD compilation, amassing 14 homegrown acts under an umbrella to raise funds for MFG, a charity organisation dedicated to using music as a delivery channel to help its constituents. The proceeds from the album sales will be channelled to fund MFG’s youth outreach programs and its operation costs.

You can have a preview of the album at our MySpace page at www.myspace.com/agingyouth. All tracks contributed by the acts are previously unreleased, ranging from outtakes to remixes to tracks from upcoming albums.

Yup, it's like a children maze, reflecting the charity MFG which is youth-based. Follow the red arrows and you'll see something interesting.

We are streaming the 1st 4 tracks on our MySpace page currently. We'll change them this weekend for the next 4 and so on.

The CD will be out in stores at the end of the week. We are in the final stages of negotiating with the stores. So get yourself a copy and help out a good cause!

See you at the launch!

Eh Aging Youth, can you secretly put up 'Orbit Around Me' tonight between 2348hrs and 2358hrs for me to take a sneak preview? I promise I don't tell anyone. I just need 10 minutes of high...

It's embarrassing lah, boss...

Thanks for the kind words!

But the 1st article about the CD will be out tomorrow in TODAY (I think). There will be a few shows on the radio stations promoting this release as well. We'll let you guys know which and when they will be broadcast.

Gramophone and Sembawang Music Centre will be stocking up the CDs by the end of the week. Please go down and get yourself a copy as you'd be helping out a worthwhile cause. Let the retail stores know that there's a demand for Singapore made music lah...

...

Yeah, love the production quality on the Camra track.. Apparently, it was done by Randolfo himself.. Randolf, you sure got that Brit-indie sound down to a 't' on that one.. Sounds like it was recorded on Abbey Road!.. Nice!

The line-up sure makes the rest of us look like nobody's.. A brilliant advert for local music.. Well done, Willy and co..

Hi there, Glad you enjoyed the song! Thanks guys for the nice commentaries of the Camra track. It's a real pleasure as always to make music with and for these guys. Many colourful shades of individual brilliance on this eclectic album I must say. Great Job Guys, Aging Youth and Music For Good!

Cheers!

Hi all,

Please look out for the CD in the following stores by the end of the week.

Sembawang Music Centre, Gramophone, Borders, Flux-Us, Instant Karma and Cafe Cosmos.

Music For Good are sending in the stocks as we speak. The price of the CD will be reasonable. Not to worry. :D

I saw the write up in yesterday's today paper. I was plesantly surprised to learn that the musos would be doing the hospital rounds to play.

I had performed for many such charity gigs before i.e at various organizations for the disabled, old folks homes etc. I remember fondly the joy we (and other groups) brought them and it truly warms the heart. Many of these individuals were determined to live life to the max and enjoy these moments to the fullest despite their situation (some even joined us on stage). Musos, you will never forget these gigs.

Well done Aging Youth and all the bands involved in the project.
