Flu Song

heh. the backing beat is so old school drum machine that i almost vision a porn vibe.

The geetaring is good as usual, but the porn drumbeat is rather outta place, imho

*got no smiley emoticon, so i am serious with the above*

Pron drumbeat? WOAH.

Its only teh flu brother Pathin!!!

But you might be interested to note - I used the EHX DMM on some parts and on some parts, I used a tape echo plug in. I'm very impressed by the plug in. Can't tell the diff.

Crap... I can't rem the plug in name now. Its FOC. and it ain't even version 1 yet. Like version 0.8 or something.

The creator also has a drum synth which i used for this piece.

All FOC.

I'll go home and check it up.

Oh yeah, that lower octave, glitchy, synthy thingy... that plays a melody... its the MI Audio Pollyanna. Possibly the best effect MI Audio has come out with so far. Worth your while methinks. Its like Goose's noize therapy.

Hehehehhheheh...

When i heard the drums, the 1st thing i was expecting was some sort of JayZ "ohhh-ahhhs", or Michael Jackson "welps" before the guitar comes in... ;)

Still remember your "techno-drum-thing" ages ago... :D

Love your outness as always... It don't seem deliberate, it just seems there...
Parts of the rhythm melodies/backing reminds me of MIRV.
But the solo is definitely you!
Lovelovelovelovelove...

hows the pollyana for multiple strings playing?

Does not happen. Its analog, so I suppose that's a reason for the limitation?

Playing multiple strings just gives way to ring modulation.

But the magic is that... this thing melds with you. You gotta play it and feel it, in order to get it sounding/glitching/tracking right. After a while, you'll realise which frets the -2 octave sounds sustain longer, which pup selection to be at, how hard to pick, etc etc... and it comes naturally. Feels natural to me.

The opposite of it its the Foxrox Octron. Superb unit with flawless tracking... which didn't quite work out with me. I like the slight unpredictability.

Thanks Echoist. I really didn't mean to sound "out" on this piece, just improvising.

What's MIRV?

Ohhh... MIRV is actually a band, in the vein of Primus and Sausage.
Very wacky-outness-humour. Very unlike Zappa or Flexable-era Vai.
Your music here transported me to the 90s when i was deeply into their Cosmodrome CD...
...and superstrats!
